For Raley's Family of Fine Stores:

 

1. Acted as Chief Negotiator for all company collective bargaining sessions securing more than $30 Million in future savings.

2. Eliminated union unfair labor practice (ULP) charges against the company that had been outstanding for over two (2) years.

3. Significantly reduced the number of grievances and Board of Adjustment case.

4. Won two-thirds of all the arbitration cases.

5. Created a strategy of union 'neutrality' that was adopted by the company’s executives for future greenfield stores. 

6. Unions dealt with include UFCW, Teamsters, BCTWU and Independent Pharmacists.

    For the Greater Victoria Labour Relations Association:

 

1. Acted a Chief Negotiator for fire and police collective agreements for the agency.

2. Developed a business plan that fostered the growth of the organization.

3. Administered and provided advice and counsel on the application and interpretation of various collective agreements on behalf of member agencies reducing the incidence of grievances and arbitration hearings.

4. Spokesperson on behalf of the association before government agencies, committees and independent tribunals on a variety of labor and employee relations matters.

5. Unions dealt with: CUPE, IATSE, IAFF, Steelworkers, IBEW, and various police unions.

 

 

 

   For the County of Riverside:

 

1. Achieved over $450 Million in savings during 2.8 years of direct bargaining with SEIU, LIUNA, Riverside Sheriff’s Association and other major unions

2. Developed County bargaining and strike preparedness strategies for negotiations thus contributing towards reducing the negative effects of labor disputes.

3. Administered all County Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) and coordinated the grievance and arbitration functions within the employee relations department reducing the number of PERB charges and grievance / arbitrations.

4. Wrote a collective bargaining and labor relations five (5) year strategic plan that was adopted by the County Board of Supervisors.

5. Unions dealt with: SEIU, LIUNA, Riverside County Sheriff's Associations, Deputy District Attorney's Association.
